Domain name and website are closely connected term, but they are different from each other.After registering domain, you need to do something with it for it to work for you. Your domain name can be use for your website or an email account or for both. You can't have register domain and choose not to user for website or email account.

Dictionary meaning of domain is a part of n/w address which is used to identify it belongs to a this perticular damain. You can not have an websites over an email account without an domain. domain name si used by people by typing it into web browser for searching your website on web. For example "www.techhunt.com", here techhunt id domain name. One important thing between domain anme and website is that registering domain name means not ctreating website.

I you register your domain and want to use it for your website, first you need to do is build your website and after that you have to find host for it. So it your website can be visible and seen by the people on web.

What is host?

Host is the one by which your website will be visible on web. Host is similar like house which can maintain your website file's and make it visible to people on web. For your domain, you can use any web hosting company. Some name of the hosting companies are Godaddy, bluehost etc. So first you have to register your domain name, then build website and finaly selecting hosting company for making your website visible on web.
